Consecutive Interpreting
This type of interpreting does not require technical equipment. The interpreter orally translates the speaker's message after the speaker has finished. The speaker must pause throughout his or her speech in order to allow the interpreter to translate it. The interpreter normally takes notes to ensure that the message is reproduced accurately. It should be taken into account that the event will last 80-90% longer than the estimated speaking time due to the pauses required for translation of the message.

Liaison Interpreting
This type of interpreting is normally used to eliminate language barriers between two people in both public and private-sector meetings. The interpreter orally translates from one speaker to another in both languages, without the need for technical equipment.
