SeproTec Multilingual Solutions unveils a new corporate image that projects its technological transformation
  • The new logo respects the essence and legacy of the company while maintaining the colors that identify the company in the sector, transforms the isotype into the international symbol of communication and simplifies and modernizes the font of the name to project its future, with a clear commitment to technology.

  • With the new logo, the companys identity now reflects the new SeproTec.

 SeproTec Corporate Logotype

Madrid, May 30, 2022 - SeproTec Multilingual Solutions today presented a new corporate identity that reflects the new SeproTec resulting from the strategic plan announced in September 2021.  Rebranding that aims to visually express the company’s leadership, potential and vision for the future.

The change of logo is another step in the transformation process that SeproTec has been working on in recent times, and is conceived with the aim of projecting a more modern, flexible and technological company.  The new image is intended to visually express the transformation and leadership of SeproTec, as evidenced by the company’s growth in recent years, as well as the implementation of an ambitious international growth plan based, in addition to organic growth, on the acquisition of companies specialized in multilingual services, as well as the development of technology that provides new and better solutions for its clients.

An isotype full of symbolism

The logo, introduced today in all the countries in which SeproTec operates, transforms the previous isotype into the recognized icon of two-way communication/conversation, while also giving it a sense of movement.  The font chosen is simple and futuristic, evoking technology, but also serenity, thus perfectly reflecting the values of reliability, leadership, innovation, flexibility and honesty that drive the company.   In addition, a color variation is used to highlight “pro”, a term denoting quality and exclusivity.

The logo has been designed with the company’s growth plan in mind, both in terms of international geographic expansion and in terms of offering innovative technological services.  Thus, the new corporate logo includes variations that identify the different business units of the company and allows for its evolution as the company and the scope of the services it offers grow.

“This new identity reflects the direction in which we want to go as a company, towards an even broader quality service offering in terms of geographic coverage and in terms of developing new technological services that even anticipate our clients’ needs.  The new logo reflects the values that guide our company, as well as the talent of the professionals that drive innovation within SeproTec’s DNA”, noted Juan Julián Léon, CEO of SeproTec Multilingual Solutions.

This perfectly complements our own portfolio of clients and strengthens our offer of services, especially in the German-speaking markets. This acquisition provides us with significant operating synergies and allows us to continue growing in markets that are strategic for us. Furthermore, we have been very favorably impressed by the talent of the tsd team, and their approach to solutions, processes and clients fits perfectly with SeproTec’s mission and vision”.

SeproTec maintains its leading position in the Translation and Interpreting industry

The prestigious independent consulting firm Common Sense Advisory has once again prepared its annual ranking of the most important companies in the world in the translation and interpreting industry, with the participation of more than 1,000 companies from across the globe. With over 150 million words translated last year, an average of 350 daily interpreting sessions, and over 900 clients around the world, SeproTec Multilingual Solutions has consolidated its position as one of the leading companies in the industry.
The multinational translation and interpreting company, headquartered in Spain, has undergone dramatic growth in recent years. Some months ago, SeproTec announced the opening of a new production center in Austin, Texas, an initiative that forms part of its plan for international expansion. The goal, according to Juan Julián León, the company’s CEO, is to “consolidate a key strategic market and increase the company’s production capacity with the large contracts signed in the USA in recent years.”
This is not the only news, as a few weeks ago SeproTec announced its acquisition of lidolang specialist translations, which León calls “one of Eastern Europe’s leading localization companies, with the greatest growth potential.” In addition to improving the company’s production capacity, this purchase will also broaden its synergies due to the vertical integration of its production processes; its geographical coverage, which makes it possible to offer a more localized service all over the continent; its portfolio of languages; and its expansion into the strategic international markets in which lidolang is already well positioned.
Since the publication of the latest ranking, SeproTec has maintained its position in spite of strong investment in international expansion, which has allowed SeproTec to compete in a larger number of markets with the level of quality that has always distinguished the company.
For León, “This is recognition for the work and effort of all our team and a sign that our commitment to internationalization is allowing us to grow in the large international markets. Our challenge now is to continue growing in order to become closer to our clients and expand our portfolio of multilingual solutions.”
SeproTec Multilingual Solutions is a company with over 25 years of experience in the industry, and has developed a wide range of services that help different companies and institutions carry out their international communication without having to worry about language-related issues. It operates in 14 countries and has over 400 employees.

SeproTec Multilingual Solutions acquires Lidolang Translations

SeproTec Multilingual Solutions, one of the top 30 companies in its field worldwide, has acquired Lidolang Translation, “one of Eastern Europe’s leading localization companies with the highest growth potential,” according to SeproTec CEO Juan Julián León Ibáñez.

SeproTec’s acquisition of Lidolang is a major step forward in its strategic international expansion plan. This purchase will enable the company to grow in strategic markets, raise its productive capacity and meet the market’s strong demand head-on, while also bolstering its language portfolio and broadening its array of multilingual solutions.

Lidolang is a company based out of Krakow, Poland, and has 25 years of experience in the industry. It offers a wide range of multilingual services, mainly in the Slavic languages, as well as a strong technological complement – the latter being particularly important to SeproTec, which is committed to being a technological leader in the localization market.

SeproTec’s acquisition of Lidolang not only improves the company’s productive capacity, but also broadens its map of synergies with the vertical integration of its productive processes, widens its geographic coverage, bringing services closer to end-customers throughout the continent, and contributes to its expansion in the strategic international markets where Lidolang has already consolidated its own position.

“Lidolang is now a SeproTec company, broadening our international horizons and allowing us to improve our range of multilingual solutions tailored to each one of the markets in which we operate. This acquisition will provide us with significant operational synergies and enable us to continue growing in our strategic markets,” Mr. León notes.

This transaction, done in consultation with PwC Corporate Finance, was completed with the company’s own resources and will help SeproTec to retain a competitive position that fosters and strengthens its leadership in the international market. In addition, to ensure the project’s stability the Lidolang management team will retain its role within the company. SeproTec continues moving forward with its international expansion process just a few months after opening another production center in the city of Austin, Texas.

SeproTec Multilingual Solutions announces sponsorship of Translators without Borders

SeproTec is pleased to announce that we have pledged our support to help humanitarian translations reach more people around the world by becoming a bronze sponsor of Translators without Borders.

Translators without Borders (TWB) strives to provide people access to vital, often life-saving, information in their own language by, connecting non-profit organizations with a community of professional translators; building local language translation capacity; and raising awareness of language barriers. Since 2011, TWB has translated over 30 million words in over 150 languages in the areas of crisis relief, health and education. The organization has responded to urgent crises by using its Words of Relief model, working with partners, to provide vital information in the appropriate languages to those affected by the European refugee crisis, the Ebola crisis and the Nepal earthquake. Words of Relief ensures better communications with communities when crisis response aid workers and affected populations do not speak the same language.

The financial support provided by sponsors is critical to sustaining and growing the organization. "In the course of our work, we've become aware of a huge need, which is for people in poor countries to be able to access global knowledge in their own language," explains Aimee Ansari, Executive Director of Translators without Borders.

“According to UNICEF more people die from lack of knowledge than from diseases. People in poor countries are simply unable to access global knowledge in a language they understand. Mobile technology may be bringing more people information, but we still need to bridge the ‘language last mile’. Translators without Borders is delivering this much needed help through a myriad of tools and programs so that more people will be able to access the knowledge they need in a language they understand."

Commenting on SeproTec’s decision to become a sponsor, Juan Julián León, CEO of SeproTec said:

“We are proud to contribute with Translators without Borders to close the language gaps that hinder critical humanitarian efforts worldwide”.

Aimee Ansari adds: “We are incredibly grateful to SeproTec for this assistance, which is critical to enable us, in turn, to support more humanitarian work around the globe.”

SeproTec is proud to be supporting Translators without Borders in this work.

About Translators without Borders

Translators without Borders envisions a world where knowledge knows no language barriers.  The US-based non-profit provides people access to vital knowledge in their language by partnering with humanitarian organizations. THE INTERNATIONAL SPANISH FORUM CONCLUDES WITH OVER 4000 VISITORS
Last Sunday was the last day of the International Spanish Forum, an event organized by the Spanish cluster (Madrid Network) and IFEMA that has achieved excellent results, with all figures exceeding initial expectations:

- Over 4000 visitors.
- 3000 users from 20 different countries watched the presentations over the Internet.
- Over 5,000,000 users talked about the forum on social networks.

The first edition of this #FIE2015 was marked by the quality of its content. SeproTec was one of the main promoters and organizers of some of the forum's activities:

"Barriers to Spanish in the Global Market" (Barreras al español en el mercado global): a round table discussion moderated by Paco Martín, with the participation of General Director of PONS Patentes y Marcas Nuria Marcos, General Director of the Spanish Patent and Trademarks Office Patricia García-Escudero and specialized industrial property lawyer Luis de Javier.

Corporate Innovation in the Translation Sector (Innovación empresarial en el sector de la traducción): a round table discussion featuring SeproTec Localization Director María Azqueta, who presented the company's automatic European Spanish to Latin American Spanish localization project.

Current Events Are Pronounced (La actualidad se pronuncia): a round table discussion on proper language use in sports journalism and the importance of the pronunciation guides (UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil) developed in a collaboration between SeproTec and FundéuBBVA. Participants included SeproTec's Institutional Relations Director Álvaro Salamanca, along with Jesús Álvarez from RTVE, Eduardo García from Radio MARCA and Jaime Garcimartín, SeproTec language consultant and ex-writer for FundéuBBVA.

Spanish or Spanishes: Diversity and Normalization (Español o españoles: diversidad y normalización): one of the most interesting round table discussions in this forum. SeproTec Localization Director María Azqueta, Wikilengua Coordinator and FundéuBBVA member Javier Bezos and General Secretary of the Association of Spanish Language Academies Humberto López Morales analyzed the difficulties faced in addressing the Spanish-speaking market in neutral Spanish.

In addition to its participation in these activities, SeproTec was a significant presence in the forum. The company ran a stand where workshops were held on simultaneous interpreting, dubbing and lip-synchronization. Over 150 students participated amid lots of enthusiasm from the general public.

The International Spanish Forum, promoted by the Madrid Network Spanish Cluster and organized by IFEMA, is supported by H.M. King Felipe VI, President of the Honor Committee, under the auspices of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language (RAE), the Cervantes Institute, the University of Alcalá, the University of Salamanca, the Spanish National Research Council General Foundation and the Regional Center for Promoting Books in Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLALC).
